Innovation Health launches new, Veteran-focused Medicare Advantage plan in northern Virginia
FALLS CHURCH, Va., October 1, 2020 —Innovation Health, a joint venture between Inova Health System and Aetna, a CVS Health company, announced today the launch of a new Medicare Advantage plan. The plan, Innovation Health Aetna Medicare Eagle (HMO)™, brings simple health coverage to Veterans in Northern Virginia.
“Many Veterans want more than the standard VA coverage — they have unique health needs that few other populations have to contend with,” said Dr. Sunil Budhrani, Innovation Health’s CEO and Chief Medical Officer. “We saw a gap between the care they were offered and the care they needed. So, we decided to create a plan that would keep Veterans and their health front and center.”
The Innovation Health-Aetna Medicare Eagle Plan will be available throughout Northern Virginia in Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties, along with Alexandria City, Fairfax City, Falls Church City, Manassas City, and Manassas Park City. Interested qualifying residents of those areas can enroll during Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 to December 7th, for plans effective on January 1, 2021.
