Falls Church, VA, August 16, 2019 – Innovation Health, an insurance company owned by Inova Health and Aetna, has named Sarah Grantham, Ph.D. as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately.
“Ms. Grantham is an ideal choice to manage Innovation Health’s operations having deep experience driving improvements in health outcomes, effectively managing the cost of care and promoting strong provider engagement and collaboration,” said Dr. Sunil Budhrani, MD, MPH, MBA, Innovation Health’s CEO and Chief Medical Officer. “With nearly a decade of exemplary work in health strategy, operations and population health delivery, she is prepared to further Innovation Health’s commitment to transform health care to more than 125,000 members in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area.”
In this new role, Ms. Grantham will report directly to CEO/CMO Dr. Sunil Budhrani and oversee Innovation Health’s ongoing operations, with a focus on ensuring positive growth. She will also oversee the execution of Innovation Health’s broader strategic goals to ensure the organization continues to deliver on its mission to offer more efficient, personalized care and improved health outcomes.
Ms. Grantham joins Innovation Health after having spent six years at Evolent Health, where she held various positions including, Managing Director of Market Operations and Payer Strategies. She led Evolent Health’s Medicare Advantage value-based services work and also launched and operated several Commercial and Medicare Accountable Care Organizations. Ms. Grantham holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Wake Forest University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
